Recently, I got my comp copy of Dalkey’s Best European Fiction 2012 volume, with my translation of Belgian Bernard Quiriny’s “Rara Avis.” Horror fans take note: this work, at once genteel and macabre, makes an argument about the freakish nature of all artistic creation.
