Around the Interwebs

January 20th, 2011 § 0 comments

  • In the Dispatches at Words Without Borders, I have a blog post up on the recent strike at L’Association, France’s premier indie comics company. This is preparatory to my trip to Angoulême next week, where I’ll be live blogging for them from the 38th edition of the annual International Comics Festival.
  • A HUGE thank you to Jeffrey Ford for citing Georges-Olivier Châteaureynaud’s A Life on Paper as one of his favorite reads of 2010.
  • A Journey Round My Skull has begun syndicating my posts for Small Beer Press on Belgian fabulists. But the real reason to check them out now are the images that accompany them. That said, the Small Beer holiday series is winding down. The penultimate post went up this past Tuesday. Earlier in Not a Journal, publisher Gavin Grant waxed reflective about the year in review, and had a few cheery words for A Life on Paper, which also rates a mention at French Culture, the Official Website of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy.
